This Friday the draw for the quarterfinals of the Champions League took place, in which Manchester City and Borussia Dortmund will animate one of the matches. And beyond promising to be one of the most attractive series, there is also another stellar protagonist to follow closely: Erling Haaland. The Norwegian Wonder Boy appears on the radar of the main European clubs to sign him in the next transfer market and in turn has a very particular story: as a child he was a fan of the English club thanks to his father.

Since his appearance at RB Salzburg, the Norwegian has not stopped scoring goals, something that did not change after his arrival in Germany. His scoring nose is one of the most sought after and the powerful of the old continent already have him in the pipeline for the coming transfer market. One of them is the Citizens, ready to pay their exit clause.

But with the duel that matched them in international competition, social networks were responsible for remembering the emotional bond that Haaland maintained with the British institution. When he was a kid, he was a huge fan of the Celeste ensemble. In the last hours an image of him wearing this jacket went viral and it was even known that he was part of a Facebook group for fans.

And as if this were not enough, his father Alf-Inge also wore this shirt when he was a player and retired from professional practice after a remembered classic in the city against Manchester United. On that occasion, the Norwegian crossed paths with Roy Kean, who gave him a terrifying slap on his right knee.

In an attempt to settle the score, the Irishman recalled when his rival was playing for Leeds and made fun of him in the middle of the game after suffering a severe injury. This action was decisive for what soon after would become the end of Haaland's career.
