Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the most popular footballers in the world. Beyond football, his influence extends to the whole sporting world and even in fashion. Cristiano is as loved for his incredible ability in front of goal as for his good looks and almost perfect anatomy. However, rumours have been rife that Ronaldo's looks are not all that natural and the Portuguese star might have done a series of plastic surgeries to achieve his almost perfect looks. We'll look at the reasons and evidence many believe might be why Ronaldo has had plastic surgery.
Rumours have been swelling since about 2013 that the 5-time Ballon d'Or winner might have had plastic surgeries. Thus, in 2016, The Sun invited a cosmetic surgeon, Alex Karidis to comment on if it is likely that Cristiano Ronaldo has gone under the knife to amplify his facial looks.
Karidis explained that first, Cristiano Ronaldo's teeth look a lot different, refined, from the jagged set he had when he was at Manchester United. The former Real Madrid player now has a set of teeth so white and perfect it is befitting of a Hollywood smile. On that end, Karidis believes Cristiano Ronaldo might have had an orthodontic session done.

One of the greatest sticking points of Cristiano Ronaldo's possible surgery is his nose. His nose looks a lot sharper, smaller and with the tip firmer than it used to be. Though, the cosmetic surgeon admitted that this could be a case of natural progression over the years but it could also be through surgery.
Another evidence that suggests that the 36-year-old has had his looks amplified is his jawline, forehead and chin. Markedly, his face and forehead seem to have no wrinkles, despite engaging in an active sport like football for almost 20 years professionally.
According to Karidis: "It looks like he has had Botox around the eyes and forehead. His skin is now almost immaculate. Fillers plump up an area where time has deepened the lines, such as smile lines around the mouth. Ronaldo’s face is smooth there now which could be because of fillers which are injected in fluid form into the skin.”

Another noticeable trait is that of his hair. In an event in Monaco in 2013, Cristiano Ronaldo was noticed with a receding hairline. But by the next time he would make a public appearance, any trace of it seem to be gone. This could suggest that the Madeira-born footballer has had a hair transplant done.
While there are no hard evidence or confessions from Cristiano Ronaldo that he's had surgery, many of his former teammates have commented on how the forward obsesses over how he looks so much. Rio Ferdinand, as told by Peter Crouch in 2018, and Wayne Rooney have both publicly stated that Cristiano Ronaldo could not pass in front of a mirror and not admire himself. Thus, it seems very possible that Cristiano Ronaldo would undergo plastic surgery to amplify his looks.
