Barcelona highlights four replacements for Aguero: see how much it will cost the club

Barcelona's problems went from bad to worse and from worse to anything that could go wrong should go wrong when Sergio Aguero was taken off after complaining of chest pain during the match against Deportivo Alaves.

Aguero was later diagnosed with cardiac arrhythmias or irregular heart rhythm and further examinations revealed he would be out of action for at least three months and his availability will depend on how his treatment goes. His absence has thrown the club into a dilemma as they are short of strikers.

Barcelona are now looking at four players who could lead the line for them. They have highlighted Arsenal's Alexander Lacazette who has fallen out of favour with Mikel Arteta. He has a market value of €22m and would be willing to join the Gunners. Another Premier League option is Raheem Sterling who Manchester City value at €70m.

Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani who will be out of contract in the summer is also being considered while 19 year old rising star Karim Adeyemi who plays for RB Salzburg is also an option, he has a market value of €22m but the Austrian club will be holding out for more.
