After some negotiations Arsenal has released German playmaker Mesut Ozil, who now moved to Turkey and joined country’s giants Fenerbahce. His spell in the English Premier League has come to an end, and now he has returned to a club in which he said he was waiting to join for a long time. Now, let's talk about numbers.

His reported contract according to English media turn him £350,000 per week. That would represent an annual salary of $25 million. It is incredible that with this figure they could bring almost any player from the Italian Serie A, having released a name who was barely included in the squad.

If we look for similar options in the field, for a third part of what Ozil was paid, Arsenal could have Paulo Dybala in the squad. The Argentinian left-footed ace raises $8.8 million per year. Of course, a transfer with Juventus should be negotiated. If not, the Gunners could have a look at Inter’s Christian Eriksen, who is paid $9 million. Another name could be Javier Pastore, who is one year younger than Ozil: he perceives $5.45 million in his contract with Rome.

In fact, the only contract they could not afford is the reported $37 million per year paid by Juventus to Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo. Sounds like Mikel Arteta will be able to fill his cart up in the supermarket.
