Inter Miami will soon lose Lionel Messi next month as he will play in the Copa America 2024 with the Argentina national team in the United States. Although the club is already letting Messi go with his national team for the next month, the co-owner David Beckham is willing to help Argentina even more. Gaston Edul reported that Argentina will have to prepare for the tournament next month, and Inter Miami will allow them to train at their stadium, the Chase Stadium. Argentina has two friendlies coming up in early June before the start of the tournament.

Argentina will face Ecuador on June 9th at Soldier Field, and then they will take on Guatemala on June 14th at FedEx Field. Argentina will kick off Copa America on June 20th against Canada at the Mercedes Benz Stadium since they are the current Copa America champions. Messi will complete the last few games with Inter Miami before the start of the Argentina camp to prepare for the summer tournament.

Inter Miami has two MLS games at home at the Chase Stadium next week, which will be Messi’s final games with the team before he joins the Argentina national team to defend his Copa America title. Messi is set to play against Atlanta United on Wednesday, May 29th. The last game the Argentine star will play for Inter Miami before the Copa America will be against St. Louis City next Saturday, June 1st. Messi will not need to travel right away as the Argentina national team will not start training in the stadium after the match between Inter Miami and St. Louis City.

Lionel Messi will not play tonight for Inter Miami

Inter Miami has a match today against the Vancouver Whitecaps today in Canada at the BC Place. However, Messi, along with Luis Suarez, did not travel with the rest of the team, not because of an injury but because of resting. The Vancouver Whitecaps stadium holds 54,000+, and the game was sold out, thinking they would get to see Messi play. There are no complaints about Messi not showing up, and the Vancouver Whitecaps issued an apology.
