Mauro Icardi's future may not be in Paris Saint-Germain. AC Milan is interested in signing the Argentinean striker who has been recovering from his knee injury since October. If he arrives at the Italian club, he will have to compete with Zlatan Ibrahimovic for a spot in the team. Which of them would be in the starting line-up?

According to the Italian press, the team led by Stefano Pioli would be interested in having both strikers sharing the offense. In this way, they would both be in the starting line-up. In addition, the 27-year-old Argentinean would be the successor to the Sweden striker, who is close to his retirement.

If the transfer is completed, how will Inter fans feel about it? It is important to remember that Mauro Icardi played for six seasons at Inter, between 2013 and 2019. There, the Argentinian scored 124 goals and delivered 31 assists in 219 games. He also scored five goals against AC Milan in three derbies. But most importantly, Icardi had been captain of Inter for almost four consecutive seasons.

Meanwhile, Milan is at the top of the Serie A with 12 points. In order to extend their winning streak, the club will face AS Roma this afternoon at the Giuseppe Meazza stadium. Zlatan Ibrahimovic is second on the Serie A top scorers standings, with four goals, one behind Romelu Lukaku, Francesco Caputo and Andrea Belotti.
