The forward Andre-Pierre Gignac is one of the top stars of Tigres. Since his arrival at the Mexican club in 2015, the 34-year-old striker has scored 136 goals and given 31 assists in 229 games. Besides, he is the second top scorer in the Liga MX with 10 goals, two less than Cruz Azul player Jonathan Rodriguez.

This is why the Frenchman receives some million-dollar offers in every transfer window. Los Angeles Galaxy is one of the clubs that has tried to sign the striker the most. However, the Major League Soccer club has not been able to convince him to sign a contract yet, although they had been close.

However, this time it would be different. Since the departure of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the team led by Guillermo Barros Schelotto could not find a suitable replacement. Chicharito Hernández has been a failure. That is why the American club will try again to hire Gignac and is willing to spend millions of dollars to do so.

The Galaxy are willing to offer Gignac much more money than the $4.6 million that Tigers are currently paying Gignac. That wouldn't be a problem for the U.S. team. For instance, Chicharito Hernandez is earning about $7 million a year. Therefore, Tigres will have to increase the Frenchman's salary if they want to be sure he will stay in Monterrey.
