Next Wednesday, Paris Saint-Germain will host Barcelona at the Parque de los Príncipes stadium, in what will be the rematch of the second round of the Champions League that has the French prevailing in the tie 4-1 as a result of the result obtained at the Camp Nou. And in the run-up to this match, the ultras of the Parisian cast carried out a misogynistic action against Shakira, the wife of Catalan defender Gerard Piqué.

Since Saturday the PSG fans have been doing breathtaking marches and also "warming up" the game. Some, with banners as offensive and out of place as the one that could be seen on Sunday, in which they messed with Gerard Piqué's wife, the singer Shakira. The banner, with the message "Shakira a la Jonquera", made reference to the famous brothel in La Jonquera (Girona), on the border between Spain and France, frequented by French citizens. It's one of the largest brothels in Europe.

It isn't the first time that the wife of one of the Barça captains has been the target of attacks. Lamentable chants towards her have already been heard on the part of Espanyol fans. Returning to Paris, that isn't the only hostile banner towards the Catalans that has been seen these days in the French capital. Another with the message "Barcelona not welcome" has also circulated.

In response, fans of the pop star started showing ‘#RespectShakira’ on social media, noting that Monday is also International Women's Day.
