French giants Paris Saint Germain will kick off their 2021/22 UEFA Champions League group A campaign against Belgian club Club Brugge tonight and the Parisiens will be looking to better their last two campaigns by winning Europe's clubs ultimate prize.

PSG were beaten finalists in 2020 where they lost to Bayern Munich under Thomas Tuchel and were knocked out in the semifinal of the 2021 season by Manchester City, who they are drawn in the same group with this season. The fourth member of the group is RB Leipzig who PSG beat in the semifinals on their way to the final in 2020.

A star studded PSG who have all stars available for the match will travel to Belgium for their opening where picking all three points will be of utmost priority for Mauricio Pochettino's side knowing how long it will go in ensuring they qualify out of the difficult group.

PSG reinforced heavily in the summer with free additions of Lionel Messi from FC Barcelona, Sergio Ramos from Real Madrid, Georginio Wijnaldum from Liverpool, Gianluigi Donnarumma from AC Milan and £72m signing Achraf Hakimi from Inter Milan.

The football world and fans of the club will expect that the heavy investment this summer means they must reclaim the Ligue 1 title they lost to Lille last season and claim Europe's top prize.
