Richard Ledezma is a midfielder who currently plays for PSV of the Eredivise, the Dutch soccer league. Ledesma was born in the United States and has Mexican ancestry, so he can play for either of the two national teams and if Mexico's coach, Gerardo Tata Martino, does not hurry to summon him shortly, it is very likely that Ledezma will be lost.

Richie Ledezma is 20 years old and a product of the American academies. He made his debut as a professional footballer for Real Monarchs in 2018. The Monarchs are the Real Salt Lake team that disputes the USL Championship. That same year, Ledezma was named a 2018 Player of the Western Conference by the US Soccer Development Academy in the U18/19 category.

After his great year in the USL Championship, Ledezma made the leap to Europe and was signed by the Dutch club PSV Eindhoven for their youth team, Jong PSV. Six months later, Richie was called up for the first time by the PSV first team to face AZ Alkmaar but had no minutes. He made his debut for PSV yesterday in a 4-0 win over Den Haag.

The Mexican soccer team has a better chance of losing this battle than winning it, since Ledezma was summoned by the USMNT U-19 in 2018 and was quickly called up for the U-20 category and played his first game in a loss to France 1-0. Just over a year ago, Ledezma revealed that he has been reached by the Mexican Soccer Federation to find out if he was willing to defend the colors of the country. Richard Ledezma was willing to play for Mexico, although if he is contact by the USMNT shortly, he will choose them.
