Many fans are looking forward to the return of MLS in the United States. In Mexico, the same is expected with Liga MX, as many CONCACAF countries expect the same with their respective tournaments. However, all these countries have something in common, and that is that they all hope to know the return date of the CONCACAF Champions League.

With the quarterfinals unfinished in this tournament, the top leaders of the competition are looking to retake the CONCACAF Champions League as safely as possible. It is for this reason that they have decided that the most reasonable thing to do is to adapt to the new format of the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, and MLS is Back Tournament for their return to competition.

It involves playing the majority of the remaining matches in a single venue. With the exception of the MLS is Back Tournament, where all games were played in one place, the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and CONCACAF Champions League all have something in common. Some matches of their knockout phases were played before the pandemic with the old format, two games, at home and a visit.

This argument is clear for CONCACAF Champions League to make the same decision as to the UEFA Champions League, to play the matches that were performed with the remaining roundtrips attached to the previous format prior to the pandemic, and the rest of the games to be played in a single venue. It is expected that in the next few days the decision to be made by the directors of this tournament will be announced.
