Guillermo Barros Schelotto's Los Angeles Galaxy fell 5-2 on Wednesday to Portland Timbers. Just after 20 minutes of the first half they were already down 3-0. Therefore, Javier 'Chicarito' Hernandez's team ran out of chances to qualify for the playoffs. For that reason, Galaxy's officials fired Guillermo Barros Schelotto. Non-the-less, he is on the radar of a giant team from Mexico.

It seems that Antonio 'Turco' Mohamed's cycle at Rayados de Monterrey is coming to an end despite being close to qualify to the quarterfinals of the playoffs of the Liga MX. The relationship between Mohamed and the squad is as bad as it can be, and not even close to how it was on his previos stage as Rayados coach, between 2015 and 2018.

This would be the reason why the former Celta de Vigo coach will not re-sign his contract with the Mexican team, with which he achieved the Liga MX title in 2019. Mohamed as a coach in Mexican soccer was also champion of Liga MX in 2012 with Tijuana and in 2014 with America. He also won the Copa MX with Rayados in 2017.

On the other hand, his possible successor Guillermo Barros Schelotto, was coach of Lanús in 2013 when the Argentinian team won the Copa Sudamericana. In 2016 he had a brief stint in the U.S. Palermo of the Serie A and that same year he returned to Argentina to become the manager of Boca Juniors until 2018. With Boca he won two local leagues and got to the Copa Libertadores final. In 2019 he arrived at LA Galaxy.
