Juventus says: Weston McKennie is not leaving

lthough it is not yet known exactly, experts in the field have already given an approximate period of time.

How long will Weston McKennie be out of action?

According to different experts who observed the player's sprained ankle, McKennie could be out of the field for a period that could range from 4 to 6 weeks, which would make it very difficult for him to play at least the first matches of the CONCACAF World Cup Qualifying.

Since the level of the damage suffered by the player is just going to be evaluated, it is still unknown if he will be able to participate with the U.S. national team on the last day of the CONCACAF Octagonal.

And this situation would definitely worry Greg Berhalter, the team's coach, as the upcoming matches will be the most complicated of the World Cup Qualifiers. These matches will be against Mexico on March 24, Panama on March 27, and Costa Rica on March 30.

And because the midfielder is one of the most vital elements in Berhalter's tactical set-up, his absence would put the Stars and Stripes in serious trouble.

Weston McKennie: dogged by injuries

There are cases of players who have suffered in their professional careers due to injuries and have even had to have their careers interrupted in order to take care of their health conditions.

McKennie's case has not yet reached that point, but it is true that the midfielder has suffered from injuries, which have robbed him of valuable minutes on the soccer fields of the various teams he has played for.

McKennie began his career as a professional soccer player in Europe, with FC Schalke 04, where his first injury was a metatarsal fracture that kept him away from the soccer fields for 70 days.

Later on, he suffered a fiber rupture that left him out of action for 14 days, and then he suffered one of the most painful injuries a soccer player can suffer: a rupture of the internal ligament of the knee.

This took him 38 days away from all activity, which would later lead to a training deficit problem that would only keep him away from soccer for 7 days.

McKennie would not have any more serious problems until a concussion he suffered on September 23, 2018, which would leave him inactive for only 3 days.

And henceforth his most significant injury would be a shoulder injury, which would deprive him of physical activity for 34 days.

So McKennie has indeed suffered quite a bit with injuries, but it won't be until he is checked out by specialized medical teams that the severity of his latest injury will be known.
