The Mexican National Team had a difficult visit tonight when they arrived in Cuscatlán to face El Salvador. Historically, this scenario has represented a hostile customs for the Tricolor, although this has not necessarily influenced the results, since the balance for the Aztecs has been favorable.

This time, the presence of Mexico on Salvadoran soil was not the exception and from a day before the atmosphere heated up with the previous serenade in the concentration hotel of the team directed by Gerardo Martino, but already in the pregame things took different dimensions every time something serious could happen.

On a tour prior to the opening of Cuscatlán, agents of the National Civil Police of El Salvador found large rocks inside the stadium that could be used as projectiles from the stands and that represented a risk for attendees or people who could be on the pitch.

Similarly, personnel from the Civil Protection of El Salvador, together with members of the National Civil Police of El Salvador, seized barrels of beer that had been covered with garbage cans. It should be remembered that the sale of food and beverages is prohibited within Cuscatlán. However, the fans present at the stadium, managed to make their home feel anyway. It was thus that they threw all kinds of projectiles every time Guillermo Ochoa or one of his companions approached them.
