The problem was not Koeman: The worst Barcelona of history

FC Barcelona is going through one of the worst crises in its history, if not the worst, both economically and sportingly. The squad has been losing quality and stars season after season. It's been years since a Barça has been so weakened, but throughout history the Barça team has had squads far below the level that a great club like this is supposed to be.

The post Messi era is being tough at FC Barcelona. To the Argentine's march we must add that of Griezmann and the lack of reinforcements at the club's level. Barcelona has gone from having a forward made up of Messi, Neymar and Suárez, to Luuk de Jong, Memphis Depay and Braithwaite.

The current Barcelona has run out of stars and the only hopes reside in the youth of the quarry, who have a great future ahead of them but have not yet reached their point of maturity. All this translates into a weak Barcelona, with players who in other circumstances would not have signed for the Barça team, and whose results are not accompanying them. It would be a real surprise if this Barça was involved in the fight for the titles until the end of the course.
