The Mexican National Team faced El Salvador tonight as part of its path in the Concacaf Octagonal towards the Qatar World Cup 2022, and beat it without problems by 2 to 0. In this way, it marches first in the competition and little by little he begins to stamp his passport to the next championship.

Mexico's visit to Cuscatlán was a difficult night for the Aztec team. The atmosphere is extremely hostile every time the national team goes to San Salvador, even before the game people try to make their home feel with visits to the concentration hotel in which they try to interrupt the rest of the players.

These factors suggest that Mexico suffers every time it goes to El Salvador; However, it is quite the opposite. It can even be said that Cuscatlán is nothing more than a myth and to prove this is the history of visits by the National Team to La Selecta's house for several decades.

However, in sporting terms, Cuscatlán suits Mexico quite well. With the one of today, they faced 9 times, 3 of them in a friendly way and another 6 by qualifying rounds. In total, the locals won just 2 opportunities, and lost the remaining 7. In numerical terms, Mexico converted each time it entered visiting territory, accumulating 19 celebrations, against only 8 of the locals.
