Duane Holmes injured. Will he lose ground to go to the US National Team?

A bad news came for Duane Homes career intentions. The attacking midfielder suffered an injury that will make him loose his following game with his actual team, Derby County, in a league cup game against AFC Barrow, which was recently promoted to League Two for the upcoming season.

Holmes was seeked for the U23 United States National Team a few years ago and since then his chances of playing in the most prestigious team in America. But, since then he hasn't got another chance and this kind of situations only are a new obstacle for him.

Holmes missed the end of the season for Derby due to a thigh injury. He appeared to be moving well and looked decent at the start of the game against Barrow. But at the 56th minute he was replaced and, despite he published a tweet in which he told it was precuatory, the situation is uncertain.
