What happened to Mason Greenwood?

The Swedish was playing his second year as a Juventus player, however, in the current season, he was not having the playing time he wanted. Last campaign, the former Parma player scored 7 goals and assisted 7 times for the Turin club. In fact, it was not a bad season for the attacker but in the current season, with the arrival of Massimiliano Allegri, Kulusevski was not able to earn his spot in the starting eleven.

Although he was not commonly a starter, the Swedish appeared in a total of 30 matches, scoring 3 goals and assisting 4 times. Statistically, the numbers were not that bad but the player wanted a new adventure in a new league, and Tottenham appeared as the best option. Dejan said that he hopes to return one day to Juventus as he enjoyed his time at the Italian team.

Who is Dejan Kulusevski?

Dejan Kulusevski was born in Stockholm and is a 2000 class player. He was formed in his country being in IF Brommapojkarna, where he played and went through the youth team until he was 16 years old. In Italy several teams had their sights set on his evolution, the club that went ahead in the proposals to add him to their youth team was Atalanta, who paid 165 thousand euros.

Three years had to pass before he achieved his dream of making his debut in the Italian Serie A with Atalanta's first team. As he was still very young, he was loaned to Parma to have some continuity.

At Parma he found an important role, scoring 10 goals and providing 10 assists in the 2019/20 season, and there he managed to play an active part in the team and attracted the interest of Juve. Maurizio Sarri expressly asked for him in the winter market and he arrived for the 2020/21 season.

At Juventus, he scored a total of 10 goals and assisted 11 times in a season and a half with the Italian team. He will now embark on a new adventure in the Premier League with Tottenham.

How does Dejan Kulusevski play?

His main position is as a right-winger, but he also plays on the left and as a playmaker. He is a classic wing player with great speed and overflow. In Italy, they say he is the combination between Josip Iličić and Arjen Robben. Although he knows how to overflow and cross with his less skillful leg, he is from the school to which the left-footed players who play on the right flank go and make their way to the center to find the finish and passing options.

Why does he wear number 44?

Kulusevski has been wearing the number 44 on his back since his debut in Serie A. Asked why he chose this unusual number, the striker said that when he was still living in Sweden, he watched Adnan Januzaj's debut for Manchester United on television and was impressed by how well he performed.

It was then that he told his father that he wanted to have the same personality as the Belgian player if he made it to the elite. That is why he wears the number that Januzaj also wore on the day of his debut with the Red Devils.
