All the dizzying action happened in the 51st minute of the match when Pukki fought the ball back and despite risking a foul in the box, was able to keep the ball.

He immediately played a pass into the box where Sargent was closing in and what happened next would not have been foreseen even by those who award the Puskás prize: Josh did not hesitate and shot with his back foot, or foreshortened shot, to send the ball into the back of the net. It was the American's first goal since August

Not just one: Josh Sargent scored a brace

But it also marked a return to scoring form for the O'Fallon, Missouri, USA native as he scored a brace in the match, which resulted in a resounding victory for his team

The second goal came in the 74th minute when he received another ball from the penalty spot and headed in to make it 2-0.

In this way, Sargent was finally able to get out of his goalless streak and now the whole world is watching what he did for his team, which will now have to play more minutes on the field to see how far he is capable of going.

The third goal of the match, which ended the rout of Watford, came when Juraj Kucka scored an own goal, the decisive 3-0 to keep Norwich, who are fighting to avoid relegation, alive.

Josh Sargent's goal has already gone around the world

Immediately his goal went in, Sargent could see the effect it had on the stadium, but he wasn't prepared for the avalanche of fans he was going to get after this goal.

Some specialized media are even claiming that Sargent's goal could easily be nominated for the FIFA Puskás Award next year if an equally astonishing goal is not scored.

Other media outlets, especially in the United States, began to wonder if USMNT coach Greg Berhalter might call him up for the Stars and Stripes' upcoming World Cup Qualifying matches

Sargent has already been capped by the USMNT senior national team and made his debut on May 28, 2018, in a friendly against Bolivia, a match that ended in a 3-0 drubbing by the Americans, with Sargent scoring his first goal for the national team.

Although his club, Norwich City FC, is in the Premier League relegation zone, Sargent could be raising his hand for other teams, especially the big teams in the league, to take a look at him.
