In recent days it has even been rumored that the player's transfer is already imminent and that he has already undergone the relevant medical examinations to join the Catalan club.

However, the Blues' coach is not happy with this information and has made clear his point of view on this possible signing.

This is what Thomas Tuchel has said about the possible transfer of Andreas Christiensen to FC Barcelona

In an interview with the press, when reporters asked him about the possible departure of the Danish defender from Chelsea, Tuchel replied:

"Of course we get all the rumors out there - it's in doubt, isn't it? We have heard the rumors and the situation of Andreas for many weeks now and it is clear that we do not like them. Personally, and the club's representatives think so, I think it's best for him to stay because we depend a lot on him."

With this response, the press has speculated that the possible renewal agreement between Christensen and Chelsea is now non-existent, so his departure from the club could be imminent.

The coach continued:

"I don't think these rumors, however, will force me to change the lineup. If it happens, it's best not to take it personally. He is still our player and we will do what we consider best for us as long as he is a Chelsea player," Tuchel said.

According to international press reports, the Danish defender's agents are already in Barcelona negotiating the transfer of the player, who would arrive as a free agent at the Catalan club.

In addition to Christensen's departure, Chelsea are also up for sale

Due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Chelsea's owner, Roman Abramovich has put the club up for sale due to the multiple sanctions that governments from different parts of the world have imposed on Russian millionaires.

The announcement has unnerved everyone at Stamford Bridge, from the players and staff to the fans, who in recent days have expressed that they did not want Abramovich to sell the club.

The press did not miss the opportunity to broach the subject with the team's coach, so Tuchel responded to these questions:

"Having clarity is always better than uncertainty but we have had good results in times of global uncertainty, and also within the club. That makes us proud. I have no more information than what the press has. That's for sure. There are no further developments at the moment. It's not that difficult to continue. The culture of this club is to be at the top...".
