Real Madrid officially bid farewell to club legend Marcelo Viera. The president of Real Madrid, Florentino Pérez, accompanied the full-back in an official ceremony in which his best moments were remembered and attended by players from the current squad and former teammates.

The Brazilian arrived at just 18 years of age and after 16 seasons at Chamartín, the captain left as the most successful player in history with no less than 25 titles. He lifted the Spanish Super Cup, La Liga, and the Champions League in this last campaign.
Many were the farewell comments from Madrid players and figures, but many fans missed that of a very influential person in Real Madrid. This was none other than Cristiano Ronaldo, who joined the list of emotional messages late in the afternoon.
"More than a teammate, a brother who gave me soccer. On and off the pitch, one of the biggest stars with whom I had the pleasure of sharing a dressing room. Go all out in this new adventure Marcelo!" wrote the Portuguese star, who now plays for Manchester United.
Both men played together at the Bernabeu for nine seasons and their complicity on the pitch will be fondly remembered by fans. Both starred in iconic celebrations and moments that will remain in the memory of the Madridismo.
