After it was revealed that Paul Pogba considered Manchester United's contract offer of more than £300,000 a week "nothing," he is about to finalize his return to Juventus.

Manchester United's proposal to Cristiano Ronaldo to stay

Following discussions with Pogba's attorney Rafaela Pimenta, Juve appears to have won the race to sign him as a free agent as the two parties get closer to reaching a four-year agreement.

After Sportsmail reported that Pogba cost Manchester United around 1 million british pounds per game during his six years back at Old Trafford, United will lose their record £89 million signing to the Italians for the second time.

Keeping the Frenchman would have cost United even more money, as it was revealed in the trailer for the upcoming Pogba documentary on Amazon that he turned down two offers that were higher than his existing weekly salary of £290,000. So it really was not about the money for Pogba, he was miserable in Manchester United and any amount the club offered him would have been dismissed.

Other players leaving United

Five players, including Pogba, Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata, Edinson Cavani, and Nemanja Matic, will leave United as free agents at the end of the month. As United look to the transfer market to better their squad.
