One of the great players of the moment is precisely Leroy Sane of Bayern Munich, who had to find himself to be able to enjoy his best version. The German attacker is being one of the players who makes the difference at Bayern Munich and all this reminds us of how Pep Guardiola had no problem letting him leave Manchester City. The reality is that Leroy Sané can be one of the great realities of European football and the German National Team.

Leroy Sané landed in Munich in the summer of 2020. At that time, Bayern were European champions and he came from Manchester City. In this context, good old Leroy arrived with a star poster from Manchester City, after passing under the orders of Pep Guardiola. It was the perfect formula to maintain that locomotive pace and win everything again. Furthermore, being German, the adaptation would be faster and the integration easier.

Sadly, the reality was rather different. Three years later, in the summer of 2023, we all agreed that the best Sané was still the one we had seen at City, and few of us had hope in a player who was starting his fourth season in Bavaria. He is one of the few players in recent times, if not the only one, who individually has caused whistles from the Allianz Arena fans.

The great level of Leroy Sané

Now, all the machinery works, but Sané is even one step ahead of the rest. He has another rhythm, another speed. He is sharper, faster and more accurate in front of goal. He is undoubtedly one of the fittest men in the Bundesliga right now, even if he doesn't score as many goals as Guirassy, Boniface or Harry Kane. Some more daring ones like Lothar Matthäus, however, claim that he could be included in the debate about who is the best player in the world today. The player can be one of the new great realities in European football in the current season.
