Ukrainian midfielder Oleksandr Zinchenko, who plays for Pep Guardiola's club, sent strong words to the Russian president but deleted his message a few minutes later.

This happened today when media around the world reported that the Russian president ordered attacks on some regions of Ukraine, due to a conflict that both countries have been dragging since 2014.

But with today's attack, everyone reacted to the military actions, and among all the reactions one of the most striking was that of Oleksandr Zinchenko.

What did Oleksandr Zinchenko say to the president of Russia, Vladimir Putin through his social networks?

The Ukrainian midfielder posted a photo of Vladimir Putin on his Instagram stories, which he accompanied with the phrase: "I hope you die in the most painful way."

The story was deleted within minutes, but it was enough time for the international press to have time to record the event.

The story was removed by Instagram as it was in breach of its posting policies, to which Zinchenko claimed it was an international censorship move against Ukraine.

The Instagram platform is owned by Meta Platforms, Facebook's new name, which is based in California, USA, but did not comment on the player's accusation against them.

Oleksandr Zinchenko later uploaded a new message to his Instagram account about what is happening in Ukraine

After the story was taken down from the platform, the Ukrainian soccer player later uploaded a message of support for his country with a touching image showing the outline of his country, with a collage of photos of it, and the image was surrounded by wheat.

The soccer player accompanied that image with the following text:

"The whole civilized world is concerned about the situation in my country. I can't stay on the sidelines and not take a stand. The photo shows the country where I was born and raised. The country that I defend in sports at the international level. A country that we try to glorify and make great. A country whose borders should remain inviolable. My country belongs to Ukrainians and no one is going to appropriate it. We will not surrender. Glory to Ukraine.

This message continues on his Instagram account and has received shows of support even from the Ukrainian soccer league.
