David De Gea is no longer a Manchester United player after his contract expires on June 30, 2023. The Spanish goalkeeper is reportedly in talks with the club, but according to Sky Sports, Erik Ten Hag's priority is to sign Andre Onana for next season, something De Gea did not know until recently. Now, the next player who would be close to leaving just like the Spaniard is revealed.

The Red Devils began a process of transformation. Since the arrival of Erik ten Hag and the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo, the Red Devils had a wonderful upturn that allowed them to mix in the podium of the 2022/23 Premier League season. Now, the coach wants new reinforcements and, for that, he has to make certain players leave the club.

The Red Devils put Scott McTominay up for sale. The Scotsman made his entire career at the club and, despite having a contract until June 2025, the red institution will try to get another entity to take over a midfielder with a lot of experience in the Premier League. Now, the player would be the second to leave unexpectedly, after David De Gea.

Is Ten Hag cleaning up at Manchester United?

The reality is that the Dutch coach is aware that only by selling players who are not essential to his plans, he will be able to make the purchases he is looking for in the transfer market. For this reason, McTominay has already received bad news from the English team and it is surprising what he can do for next season.
