The betting odds for the new Everton manager are on fire. Many names appear on the Toffees' list but only one will take the place. Roberto Martinez and Wayne Rooney are leading the betting but both coaches are currently with their teams, however, also Frank Lampard, Nuno Espirito Santo, Rudi García or Duncan Ferguson could join Everton after the sacking of the Spaniard.

Rafa Benitez's time at Everton came to an end. The British club made official on Sunday the sacking of the Spanish coach. Rafa Benítez's arrival to the toffee team was shrouded in the controversy of his past at Liverpool, where he was crowned European champion.

Benítez's tenure ended with many doubts. In the 21 official matches played with the coach, the Toffees only managed to win in seven, draw in five and lose in nine.

Roberto García

The Belgian coach already managed Everton for three seasons and is a desired option for the Toffees bench in a permanent deal. However, it seems difficult for him to leave Belgium at this time, with a World Cup just around the corner.

Wayne Rooney

The legendary former footballer, now manager of Derby County, has shown that he is up to the task of managing a Championship side. With his team condemned by a harsh penalty, he would have no big problems in carrying out a change of club.

Frank Lampard

The Englishman did not succeed at Chelsea and has been looking for a team ever since. He has already sounded for several Premier League benches, but Lampard is not in a hurry and wants to take the decision carefully.

Nuno Espirito Santo

Although the Portuguese did not succeed with Tottenham, Nuno impressed during his four-year spell at Wolves after getting them promoted to the Premier League, achieving two successive seventh-placed finishes in the top flight and reaching the quarter-finals of the Europa League.

Rudi Garcia

The French coach, without a team, has not yet tried his hand in the Premier League, although he has done so in another strong championship such as Serie A. He is a respectable and experienced option, although he does not seem suitable for a team in need, but rather for a project starting from scratch.

Duncan Ferguson

Rafa Benitez's assistant coach is the top candidate to manage Everton until the end of the season. It seems the right decision, as he is a historic member of the Toffees, who knows everything about the Goodison Park team.
