The Premier League is turning on more than ever. Arsenal FC failed to beat Newcastle United and falls significantly in the general table, where at the moment, Manchester City is the current leader after its great victory against Bournemouth 6-1. It should be remembered that Mikel Arteta's team had already beaten the citizens, but they could not beat the magpies, which left them second in the competition.

Newcastle managed to beat Arsenal by the minimum to close Saturday's matchday 11 of the Premier League. Eddie Howe's side came out strong at St. James' Park and took the three points thanks to Anthony Gordon's solitary goal in the second half. Match full of intensity and clashes between both teams that ended up taking the magpies.

Arteta's team lacked ideas and had a lot of inaccuracy in the final meters. Newcastle, thanks to this victory, is in the wake of Aston Villa with 20 points, 2 less than the villains, but with one more game. The Gunners lose their unbeaten record in the Premier League and remain third, 3 points off the lead.

Arsenal tried, but couldn't

Arsenal began to bring out offensive weapons to insistently search for Pope's goal. Fabian Schär prevented Arsenal's equalizer by cutting off a killer pass attempted by Kai Havertz. Mikel Arteta's team was not being able to break the Magpies' defensive block. Livramento was imperial throughout the second half, avoiding all of Martinelli's attempts to overwhelm him. Arsenal monopolized possession of the ball from Gordon's goal. Trossard tried it with a long shot that cleared the Magpies' defense for a corner. Finally, the end of regulation time arrived and Newcastle ended the Gunners' undefeated record.
