What Mané is asking to stay at Liverpool

Although for now they are focused on facing Los Blancos in a reissue of the final of the 2017-18 season, when Real Madrid beat The Reds 3-1, with goals scored by Karim Benzema and a brace by Gareth Bale, while Sadio Mané scored the only goal for Liverpool.

Mané is one of the players that could end up leaving Anfield over the summer, as his current contract has 12 more months, and although he knows he needs to take a decision soon, during the Media Day prior to the final, he refused to talk about his future.

The Senegalese said that he will take a decision after the final, although it was Jürgen Klopp who reassured that it’s not a moment of talking about decisions rather than the face-off of Saturday night, as he also knows that the future of Mohamed Salah is in the air.

Salah already decided, will he leave Liverpool?

Mohamed Salah, who also was present during the Media Day, was clearer about his future with Liverpool when he was asked about it, as even if he has a year more of contract, it expires after the 2022-23 season, he already knows where he’ll play next year.

The 29-year-old Egyptian striker confirmed that he will fulfill his contract with Liverpool before taking a new decision. “I don’t want to talk about the contract. I’m staying for next season, that’s for sure. And then we’ll see what happens.”

Salah joined Liverpool back in 2017 out of AS Roma for a $45 million transfer, and since then, he’s become one of the essential players for Klopp, especially after scoring the first goal of the 2018-2019 Champions League final against Tottenham Hotspur and giving Klopp his first European title with the Reds.

Real Madrid is after Salah

After being let down by Kylian Mbappé, Real Madrid are still looking for a new striker, something that has led them to start pursuing the addition of the Egyptian international, even if he already decided to finish his contract with Liverpool.
