Manchester City were finally crowned European champions. Pep Guardiola's team finished the UEFA Champions League as the first place of all and establishes itself as the great sensation by finishing with the treble this season. In fact, they are only the second English team in history to achieve that milestone, winning the European Cup, FA Cup and Premier League.
Curiously, the other club to achieve this feat was precisely Manchester United, Manchester City's fierce rival. The Manchester derby has always been a game of high tension, but if one thing is certain, it is that the Red Devils are not at all pleased to see the success at European level of the citizens.
Pep Guardiola has managed to achieve what no other coach could in his career and that is to win a Champions League with Manchester City. The Etihad Stadium club conquered Europe for the first time in its history and much has to do with the great work done by the Spanish coach in recent years.
Manchester United's reaction to the news that the UEFA Champions League is coming back to Manchester, but to the trophy cabinet of their fierce city rivals, was surprising. In fact, the Old Trafford side have now gone more than 10 years without winning the coveted European title.
Unexpectedly, the English team Manchester United did not take the time to dedicate any message on social networks, even ironically or referring to the number of European Cups they have. Apparently, the rivalry weighed and from Manchester United, no official account congratulated Manchester City.
