Manchester United vs Watford Highlights
The first half-hour of the match was sponsored by Cristiano Ronaldo. The '7' was present in almost everything noteworthy in the first 30 minutes. After five minutes, he sent a ball to the post. He received it in the area and, with two touches, controlled it, turned it, and fired a low shot that crashed against Foster's right post.
After nine minutes, he was again the protagonist, although not for something good. The Portuguese involuntarily rejected a shot from Bruno Fernandes from the front that could have been a goal. The ball was going close to Foster's post, but the ball hit a CR7 who, despite trying to get out of the way, cleared the danger.
Cristiano managed to score after 15 minutes, although his goal was not added to the scoreboard. He finished well from a ball served from the left, but the assistant had good eyesight to observe that he had started slightly ahead of his defender.
Cristiano and Manchester United failed to open the scoring
Cristiano was diluted in the second half. And moreover, he went from victim to executioner. If he prevented Bruno's goal, Elanga would take away an almost scripted goal from the '7', who shot at goal without the goalkeeper and smashed the ball into a young Swedish attacker who tried to get away without success.
Earlier, Pogba failed to direct a good ball on the left flank of the area and Elanga himself, after a fantastic back-heel from Pogba, missed a clear chance when he shot wide after having eluded the goalkeeper.
Until the end, United's siege was as clear as their difficulty to open the hornet's wall. Rangnick brought on Sancho and Rashford, but even so, he could not find space between the Watford defense. The visitors, for their part, defended with the image of giving up the attack, but they had a great chance at the end of the match.
The point leaves United fourth on 47 points, two points behind Arsenal, who have three games in hand. Chelsea, in third place, is already three points ahead plus the two games in hand on the Blues. Watford, for its part, remains second last but adds a point in the table and a good handful more in morale.
