Jürgen Klopp has been absolutely key in the renewal of Mohamed Salah by Liverpool. According to English media, during this period of uncertainty about the Egyptian player's future, the Reds' coach held several conversations with Salah during which he explained his plans for the future of Liverpool, of which Salah himself would be its leading player.

Klopp's influence over his players would thus have contributed, in addition to the economic aspect, for Salah to continue defending the Liverpool shirt, which he joined on June 22, 2017 from Roma, who received €42 million for the transfer. Following the agreement to extend his contract until 2025, Salah will be the highest paid of the 'Red' squad and will be paid just over €400,000 per week.

Five incredible years for Salah in Liverpool and more to come…

Five years have passed since the signing, which has had great influence on this triumphant era of the Anfield team. And, after renewing his contract on Friday, Salah, who turned 30 in June, will continue to write his own history and that of Liverpool. Together they have won a Champions League, a Premier League, a European Super Cup, a Club World Cup, an FA Cup and a Carabao Cup. Since his arrival, Salah has scored 156 goals in 254 games as a Red.
