Julian Alvarez is close to playing in his first UEFA Champions League final in a few hours. The Argentine is ready to get some minutes, despite being aware that the starting role belongs to Norwegian striker Erling Haaland, but hopes that Guardiola will use him at some point in the game.

However, during the preview of the match, some of the Argentine player's statements were surprising. The former River Plate striker was asked about the attacking player he most admires and likes his style of play. His answer was not what many had expected.

Julian Alvarez has just started his European career, but he has already managed to share a team with two great strikers like Lionel Messi or Erling Haaland. However, when the player was asked about the best player in his opinion, he unexpectedly chose neither of these two players. All this, just a few hours before taking the field for the match between Manchester City and Inter Milan.

Which player does Julian think is the best striker?

According to the Argentine, the best in attack in his opinion are players like Karim Benzema or Kun Aguero, two players who he believes have excelled in broad strokes. He also explained to the media that interviewed him that the reason he did not choose Messi is because he does not consider him as a fixed striker, but rather a winger or attacking midfielder.
