Although many probably did not fully enjoy the 2018 World Cup, the reality is that the French team was one of the best in the entire history of said competition. Mbappe, Griezmann, Kante, Giroud, Pogba and company arrived in the best possible way. However, almost 6 years after this feat, a player is revealed who is not having a good time in his club and would be removed.

Hugo Lloris' future at Tottenham looks bleak as the north London club actively seek to terminate the veteran goalkeeper's contract. With Football Insider's report revealing Tottenham's intention to offer compensation for Lloris' departure in January, a potential move looms for the 36-year-old.

Lloris, whose contract expires at the end of this season, has lost ground in the team hierarchy, now finding himself as the fourth goalkeeper behind Guglielmo Vicario, Fraser Forster and Brandon Austin. Without minutes in the current campaign, the club would be willing to release his weekly salary of £100,000, a decision that benefits both Tottenham and Lloris himself.

Tottenham no longer considers Lloris as a starter

Although the French goalkeeper has been a standout figure and key contributor in previous years, the reality is that his time as a starter at Tottenham has come to an end. Despite links with a possible exit during the summer transfer window, Lloris remained at the club without receiving opportunities under Ange Postecoglou. With his situation at Tottenham showing no signs of improvement, Hugo Lloris is likely to look for a new destination in search of regular playing time.
