Greenwood's girlfriend, bloodied and bruised, accuses him of abuse

Mason Greenwood has become the protagonist of a scandal of massive scale in world soccer. His girlfriend -or ex-girlfriend already- has published a series of photographs in her Instagram 'stories' in which she herself appears bloodied and bruised by alleged blows that the footballer has given her.

"For everyone who wants to know what Mason Greenwood really does to me," she wrote next to the first of the images, in which she poses from the front showing a thick trickle of blood falling from her lower lip. In the rest of the snapshots, bruises can be seen on her legs and arms.

The girl, named Harriet Robson, even published an audio in which, allegedly, you can hear how the Red Devil forces her to have sex with her, in other words, rapes her. The police, according to British newspapers such as 'The Sun' or 'Mirror', are already investigating the facts to clarify them.

Manchester United has already spoken out. It issued a formal note to the media: "We are aware of the images and allegations on social media. We will not comment further until the facts have been clarified. Manchester United does not condone violence of any kind."

Has Greenwood spoken out?

No, Mason Greenwood has not yet commented on the matter. It is quite likely that he will not do so due to the sensitivity and seriousness of the allegations. His social networks remain without updates on the matter. The last 'story' he uploaded, is from a training camp on January 29th, that is, a day before these accusations broke out.

It is striking that he has disabled the option to post comments on his photographs. Maybe he did it previously because he does not like to read them or maybe he made the decision after the scandal to avoid the piling up of messages from users furious with his alleged and still pending investigation of mistreatment.
