In Manchester United they are already thinking of the 2022-23 Premier League season, as they announced a few weeks ago the arrival of Erik ten Hag as their new coach given that they haven’t been able to return to the top spots of the English top flight this season.

Manchester United: After a disastrous campaign, these players will leave the team

With only one more game in the season for the Red Devil, they lost the possibility of making it into the top four and with it, of playing in the Champions League next season, leaving them with the ticket to UEFA Europa League, as they currently stand sixth.

Ralf Rangnick will leave Manchester United’s bench for next season, in hopes that the Dutch coach can help things get back on track for the Old Trafford team, as he is already planning key additions for the Red Devils as soon as the season is over.

Ten Hag will arrive at Manchester United having won the Eredivisie title in the current season, a success that he will try to replicate in the Premier League, especially since the team still has Cristiano Ronaldo on the roster.

Ronaldo wishes Erik ten Hag the best

Although a lot has said about Ronaldo’s continuity with the Red Devils, on Friday morning, Manchester United’s official social media accounts posted an interview with the Portuguese international, where they hinted that he will fulfill his contract.

During the interview, Cristiano said that "We are happy and excited, not only as players, but the supporters as well,” when asked about the arrival of the Dutchman to Old Trafford. He continued, "I wish him the best and let's believe that, next year, we are going to win trophies."

But reports from the Daily Mail suggest that CR7 is looking to leave Manchester United over the summer transfer window not only because ten Hag has said in the past that he wants a younger team in which Ronaldo doesn’t have a place, but also because United is looking to substantially reduce his salary for next season.

What will be his salary for next season?

The Daily Mail informed that Manchester United is planning on reducing the salary to all the players in the roster, although Ronaldo will be the one who suffers the most with the new measure, as he will go from earning $20 million per year to $15 million, losing a quarter of the salary that he earned this season.
