It seems that a light at the end of the road is appearing for Christian Eriksen because after suffering a cardiac arrest at Euro 2020 and not being able to continue in the ranks of Inter Milan, he is expected to continue his career in the Premier League, where he already played for 7 years.

In Serie A, Eriksen was prevented from playing because their regulations stipulate that no player can take the field with a defibrillator, which the Dane was fitted with to save his life, so he reached an agreement with Inter and terminated his contract.

At the moment he has been training with FC Chiasso in order to not lose rhythm and to be ready in case a club wants to sign him; his goal is to go to the Qatar 2022 World Cup with the Danish national team.

Which team could sign Eriksen in the Premier League?

According to statements by Martin Schoots, Eriksen's agent told the BBC, there are a couple of teams interested in the Dane, however, he did not reveal the names for the moment but they have already been leaked.

English media claim that Norwich City, Watford, and Newcastle could be the main options for the player, as at the moment no Top 6 team would be interested in him, neither Tottenham.

"Playing in England again would absolutely be like coming home for Chris and his family. Christian has been treated exceptionally well by the British public, not only for his excellent soccer skills but also for his human values, his modesty, and his altruism; there could be news soon," said his agent.

This move would be considered to take place in the winter market as Eriksen's chances of being included in Qatar 2022 would have diminished too much by the summer, so we will be waiting to see what could happen.

Eriksen said he wants to play again for the love of soccer

Eriksen stressed his desire to get back on the pitch and that doctors have given him the "green light" after he has had all possible tests and has suffered no new mishaps.

"I think it's the love of playing soccer - can I see myself not playing soccer when I know the doctors say I'm fine? Then nothing inside me tells me I don't have to play," he said in a preview of an interview that was aired 10 days ago.

Denmark's '10' assured that he is not afraid that he might suffer a similar incident in the future.

"Not at all, not by a long shot. At first, I was careful thinking about how much my heart could take after what happened. But now I feel like I've had as many tests as possible, so no, I have no fear that it could happen again," he said.
