Chelsea is the newest team in the chase of Ivan Perisic

After falling behind on the race for Premier League title, Chelsea is in need to add players that could aid the team in hopes of catching up with current leader, Manchester City, and although their priority is a left-back, they won’t discard other additions if the player is good enough for them.

Now, the Blues will join Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in the pursuit of Inter Milan striker, Ivan Perisic, who will become a free agent next summer. Inter might want to sell him this winter transfer window if they want to earn something in return, instead of letting him walk out for free.

Chelsea’s option might be the best for the 32-year-old Croatian left midfielder, as he’ll mostly have enough playing time if he can play defensive, mainly because Chelsea only has Marcos Alonso to fill that spot, at least until Ben Chilwell comes back.

Perisic’s career with Inter Milan

Perisic joined Inter Milan back in 2015 out of Bundesliga side VfL Wolfsburg, but after seeing his performance diminished, Perisic was loaned to Bayern Munich in the 2019/20 season. When he returned to Italy, he’s been a regular in Inzaghi’s squad.
