The Portuguese coach has defined which player will not be included in his plans for the second half of the season. Rúben Amorim would have decided that the Dutch Joshua Zirkzee will go out on loan in January to have playing rhythm, as he does not see a place for him in the Manchester United squad, despite the fact that he arrived as a star reinforcement from Bologna.

Joshua Zirkzee, the young Dutch striker, is expected to leave Bayern Munich in 2025 after struggling to secure a regular first-team spot at the Bavarian club. Having joined Bayern Munich in 2019 from Feyenoord, Zirkzee showed immense promise early on, yet his opportunities have been limited due to the intense competition for places in Bayern’s forward line. With the club reportedly open to selling him in the upcoming transfer window, Zirkzee is now seeking a new challenge to further develop his career.

The 22-year-old forward initially made headlines for his impressive performances with Bayern’s youth teams, and his potential was quickly recognized by the senior squad. Zirkzee’s breakthrough moment came during the 2019-2020 season when he scored several crucial goals for Bayern, including a stunning strike against Werder Bremen in his Bundesliga debut. His clinical finishing, pace, and physicality made him an exciting prospect for the club, and many believed he could become the next big star in Bayern's attacking lineup.

However, as Bayern Munich’s attacking options grew stronger, Zirkzee found himself increasingly sidelined. The club’s heavy investment in top-tier forwards such as Robert Lewandowski, Serge Gnabry, Leroy Sané, and Thomas Müller limited the opportunities available to Zirkzee. Despite being part of Bayern’s squad for various competitions, the young striker struggled to secure a starting spot and had to make do with sporadic appearances.

This lack of consistent playing time has led to a growing realization that Zirkzee may need to move on in search of more regular first-team action. Over the past few seasons, there have been reports of the striker being loaned out to other clubs in order to gain experience and match fitness. His loan spell at Belgian side RSC Anderlecht in the 2021-2022 season proved to be an important step in his development, where he managed to score goals regularly and gain more confidence in his abilities. However, it was not enough to convince Bayern Munich to offer him a permanent role in their squad.

As Zirkzee’s contract with Bayern Munich approaches its final years, speculation about his future has intensified. Several clubs across Europe have expressed interest in the Dutch forward, and the upcoming transfer window is expected to be a defining moment in his career. It is understood that Bayern Munich is willing to part ways with Zirkzee for a reasonable fee, with a price tag of around €15 million reportedly being set for the striker. This valuation has made him an appealing option for clubs seeking a young, talented forward who can contribute immediately while still having plenty of room to grow.

Several clubs from different European leagues have been linked with a move for Zirkzee. In the Premier League, clubs like Everton and Crystal Palace have been touted as potential destinations, with both teams looking to bolster their attacking options. Zirkzee's ability to play as a central striker or in a wider role makes him a versatile option for many teams, and his potential for growth could make him an attractive prospect for clubs looking to invest in a promising young talent.

In Serie A, clubs such as Lazio and Fiorentina have also been monitoring Zirkzee’s situation, with both sides in need of a striker who can make an immediate impact. Serie A has become a popular destination for young players looking to prove themselves, and Zirkzee could benefit from a move to Italy, where his style of play could be well-suited to the tactical nature of the league. The opportunity to regularly feature in a league with high competitive standards could be just what the young striker needs to unlock his full potential.

There are also rumors suggesting that Bundesliga clubs, such as VfB Stuttgart or Borussia Mönchengladbach, could be interested in re-signing Zirkzee, either on a permanent transfer or another loan deal. Zirkzee previously played in the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich, and his familiarity with the league could make a return an attractive option for both the player and the club.

For Joshua Zirkzee, the next chapter of his career will be pivotal. While his time at Bayern Munich may not have panned out as expected, the 2025 transfer window offers a fresh opportunity for the Dutch striker to rediscover his best form at a new club. With the right environment and consistent playing time, Zirkzee has the potential to develop into a top striker, and the clubs interested in his services will be hoping that he can deliver on the promise he showed during his early years at Bayern Munich. Wherever he ends up, Zirkzee’s move away from Bayern Munich is shaping up to be a defining moment in his young career.
