Manchester United have made a bold move in the transfer market, offering striker Marcus Rashford to Napoli in a potential swap deal for Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen. The Red Devils are keen to secure Osimhen's services but are facing stiff competition from other European clubs.

According to reports in England, United have contacted Napoli to discuss a potential swap deal involving Rashford and Osimhen. The Nigerian striker, currently on loan at Galatasaray, has been linked with a move to the Premier League for several months.

United are keen to avoid losing Osimhen to a rival Premier League club and believe that Rashford could be a tempting proposition for Napoli. The English forward has struggled for form in recent seasons but remains a highly talented player.

However, a deal is far from straightforward. Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is known to be a tough negotiator and is unlikely to let Osimhen leave for a bargain price. The Italian club are said to be demanding a significant fee for the Nigerian striker.

Additionally, there is the matter of Galatasaray's involvement in the deal. The Turkish club have a loan deal with Napoli for Osimhen, and it is unclear whether they would be willing to terminate the loan early.

The Sun reports that new Napoli manager Antonio Conte would be interested in signing Rashford, but it remains to be seen whether the Italian club can reach an agreement with Manchester United.
