Two times up in scoreboard was San José Earthquakes yesterday in its match against Los Angeles Galaxy. It wasn't enough for Matías Almeyda's team to finish the match with a victory. However, for Cade Cowell it was an unforgetable night. He scored for the first time and became the youngest goalscorer in Quakes' history.

About to celebrate his 17th birthday in two months, it wasn't in Cowell's mind, a few weeks ago, the moment he lived last night. Nevertheless, some events were significant to make Almeyda decide to include him into the first team. Mainly, Magnus Eriksson returning to Sweden gave him the chance to appear in the substitution bench.

Carlos Fierro, Eriksson's inmediate replacement, picked up an injury. Consequently, Cowell had the big chance of taking that midfield role. And so he finally achieved the dream of scoring with only 16 years old. "I was really excited and on top of that, to have a goal and put my team in the lead. It was a great feeling but an unlucky result tonight," admited the young soccer player after the match.
