It's very possible that we can see Michael Bradley back in action this Sunday when Toronto FC faces Atlanta United at Rentscheler Field, in Connecticut. The captain has been injured for quite a long time and head coach Gregg Vanney hopes to give him some minutes to play.

Bradley, 33, got injured in a game against Montreal Impact on September 1st. He was felled by Montreal's midfielder Emanuel Maciel. That crush caused him to suffered a Grade 2 sprain of the medial collateral ligament in his right knee, which has kept him inactive for more that two months.

The captain returns just in time for the final rally of the regular season, with five games in 16 days. Gregg Vanney knows that he can't put pressure on one of his most important players, but is pushing Bradley to come back quickly because Toronto FC has suffered many other injuries lately, and the coach needs to rotate the squad.

Jozy Altidore, another not-so-long-ago regular at the USMNT, and Justin Murrow are injured. More over, Altidore may not return until playoffs. On the other hand, many reports from insiders of the team tells that there are more players fatigued. In this sense, Michael Bradley's return will booster the team spirit while also giving Jonathan Osorio, the other team's captain, some time to rest.
