The Landon Donovan's MLS MVP will be decided, for sure, on a tight election between Toronto FC's Alejandro Pozulo, Seattle Sounders FC's Nicolás Lodeiro, Portland Timbers' Jeremy Ebobisse and Columbus Crew's Gyasi Zardes. But there is still this one player whom not many people is talking, but who has an enormous value: Philadelphia Union's Alejandro Bedoya.

Philly's captain is the center-piece of Jim Curtin's team. Besides of Kacper Przybylko's goals, Brenden Aaronson's talent and Sergi Santos' dangerousness, it's Bedoya's intelligence what makes the Union the team they are. Even more, he is one of the few pieces that are untouchable for Curtin.

Alejandro Bedoya was born in New Jersey and raised in Florida. He attended Boston Collage and later on passed on the MLS Draft and travelled abroad to sign contract with Swedish Örebro SK team. Even though he has been a regular part of the USMNT since the beginning of 2010s, the hadn't played at the MLS until he came to Philadelphia.

Bedoya signed for the Union in 2017. That means that he has almost been part of the whole Curtin's cycle. He is no longer attending the USMNT, but everybody knows his value for the US national team. Now, at Philadelphia, he brings both his experiences, his pace, and his intelligence to turn a skillful team into a title contender.
