The impressive salary that Gonzalo Martinez would gain at Al-Nassr

Gonzalo Martinez joined Atlanta United after becoming one of the history's biggest heroes of one of the famous soccer teams in the world: River Plate. However, he never reached the level he was expected since his arrival to the MLS. As a consequence, the price in his transfer fee to Al Nassr was a big surprise. Big as the salary he would gain there.

According to journalist Nicolo Schira, the Argentinean attacking midfielder has signed a contract until 2024 with an incredible amount of 5 millions salary per year. It will be almost five times what he was receiving at Atlanta United. It wasn't difficult for the 2018 US Champions to sell him as they also earned a 22 million dollars deal for him.

For Martinez it would be the fourth team in his career experience since his debut at Huracán. However, the money that would make him a millionare won't be enough to pay the decrease on the soccer level he will face. And that would cost probably his chances at the Argentinean national team.
