Landon Donovan is currently married to Hannah Bartell. The couple have been together for around 9 years. The American soccer player was born in Ontario, CA on March 4, 1982. The midfielder who joined the US Men’s national soccer team in 2000 and shortly after became one of the team’s leaders.

With a net worth of approximately $12 million, Landon Donovan was one of the highest-paid professional soccer players in the U.S. before his retirement in 2016. But while his wife Hannah Bartell is not exactly a household name, the mother of three definitely can stand on her own two feet financially. Here's everything we know about Landon Donovan's wife, Hannah.

Being married to someone known for being in the spotlight comes with a lot of benefits. Unfortunately, though, one of the downsides is usually that the other person ends up living in the shadows. However, Hannah Bartell is determined to create her own light. Even though Hannah Bartell is highly intelligent and accomplished, most people know her best for her marriage to a former professional soccer player, Landon Donovan.

There is much more to Hannah than just being a wife, and she is truly a force to be reckoned with when it comes to business as well.

Who is Hannah Bartell?

Hannah is a California girl to the bone. She was born and raised in San Diego. Even though she spent a few years living in Boston, she eventually returned to San Diego and she and Landon decided to put down roots there.

Hannah's family business is Bartell Hotels, which independently owns and operates several hotels and resorts in San Diego, Calif. The properties held by the Bartells include Humphreys Half Moon Inn on Shelter Island, where rooms start at over $300 a night, and the beachfront Pacific Terrace Hotel.

Hannah worked hard to manage the family business

Likely with an eye on one day taking over her father's business, Hannah majored in hospitality at Boston University, graduating in 2004. While she probably could have gone back home and used that degree at her father's company, Hannah worked for Marriott in Boston and then in Los Angeles, which is likely how she came to cross paths with the former Los Angeles Galaxy winger.

Although a hotel job probably awaited Hannah from the day she was born, she also prepared well for the job by studying at the University of Southern California, where she graduated with an MBA.

Hannah used to play tennis

Even though Bianca never played sports at a professional level, she still knows what it’s like to be an athlete. She grew up playing tennis competitively and was talented enough to play on the team at Boston University.

The couple have three children together

According to what the distractify.com site publishes, the pair began dating in 2013, got engaged in 2015, and were wed in May of the same year. They welcomed their first child, Talon, in January of 2016, their second son, Slate, in June of 2017, and their third son, Raven, in December of 2018. The couple lives in Hannah's hometown of San Diego.

Landon became a co-founder of San Diego Loyal SC in 2020, an expansion team within the United Soccer League with big plans to grow the team's following over the next several years. Landon also volunteers at Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego.

Hannah keeps her private life out of the spotlight

Social media has become one of the most popular ways for people to share information and stay in touch with each other. As the wife of a well-known soccer star, Hannah could have easily built up a very large platform. However, it doesn’t look like she’s active on social media at all. Although her husband has a large following on Instagram, she doesn’t have an account on the platform at all.

Landon was previously married to actress Bianca Kajlich

While Landon is Hannah's first and only husband, the six-time MLS Cup winner is in his second marriage. They wed in 2006 and divorced in 2010. The couple had separated the previous year, and although their appearance together at the 2010 ESPY Awards led some to believe they had worked things out, they eventually called it quits, saying they "remain the closest of friends and will always be important parts of each other's lives." They did not have any kids together.
