The new MLS season for Inter Miami is set to approach quickly. The season for the Miami side starts on February 21st when they host Real Salt Lake at the DRV PNK Stadium. While the season begins in a month, Inter Miami looks to prepare for an upcoming preseason tour.

Lionel Messi and the rest of the team will begin training for the upcoming preseason tour. The Argentine wouldn't be alone as Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba, and new signing Luis Suarez also look to play those games. Messi and Inter Miami worry about the number of games they will have during the preseason tour.

The preseason schedule has Inter Miami manager Tata Martino thinking about approaching the games. "We understand the business and sports sides, and we try to satisfy both sides without exceeding one or the other," Martino stated. The Argentine manager adds, "We have to balance how much each player participates."

The first friendly Inter Miami will play against El Salvador at the Estadio Cuscatlán on January 19th. Three days later, on January 22nd, Miami will play FC Dallas at the Cotten Bowl. After these two games, the tour begins outside the U.S.

Messi and Inter Miami will be playing seven friendlies, including games in Saudi Arabia, Japan, and more

Inter Miami will travel to Saudi Arabia for the Riyadh Season Cup. They will be playing Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr for a friendly cup. The first Saudi club they will play is Al-Hilal on the 29th of January. Two days later, on the 1st of February, they will take on Cristiano Ronaldo and Al-Nassr.

After they clash with the Saudi clubs, they will travel to Hong Kong to play the Hong Kong League All-Stars on the 4th of February. Messi and Miami will travel to Japan in a game against Vissel Kobe at the Japan National Stadium three days later. Inter Miami will return to Miami to play their final friendly game against Messi`s boyhood club, Newell`s Old Boys, on the 15th of February.
