Mbappe is the main target for the summer, but Real Madrid wants to get the cheapest deal possible for the French star. Madrid is looking for a number 9 who could play along with Vinicius and Rodrygo in the front three. This season, Madrid is playing with no natural striker in their strongest lineups, putting Jude Bellingham just below Vinicius and Rodrygo. Bellingham plays as an attacking midfielder, while Vini and Rodrygo play as two strikers.
The start of the season was a struggle as the team missed a natural striker like Karim Benzema, but the French striker left the club to move to Saudi Arabia with Al-Ittihad. Benzema and Vinicius were a dynamic duo in the past two seasons, and Madrid would like to see another duo or trio for the next few years with Mbappe at the top.
Mbappe will not come cheap, and this would be the case even without a transfer fee. Mbappe has yet to choose where to play next season, as his contract with PSG expires this summer. Real Madrid does not want to buy Mbappe from PSG as the French club would ask for an expensive transfer fee. If Mbappe leaves on a free, he would still cost a lot of money for Madrid as his wages are bigger than some o fthier key players like Vinicius.

That equates to well over €400M for Mbappé's family.
