While Roque adjusts to Barca, Madrid's Endrick shines with Brazil’s U23 team

The two young Brazilians have started the new year differently.

Endrick shines for Brazil's U-23 while Roque is finding his feet with FC Barcelona.

Vitor Roque and Endrick are two of the most exciting young prospects from Brazil. Both players moved to two of the biggest clubs in football, FC Barcelona and Real Madrid. Roque finally moved to Spain to play with his new club, while Endrick will stay in Brazil until he turns 18 in July.

Victor Roque made his Barca debut in a La Liga game against Las Palmas. Roque played the last 12 minutes of the game and almost scored as well. He showed intensity and determination to get into good spaces to score. After Gundogan's penalty, Roque had a golden chance to get a third goal for Barca. Roque was inside the box, but his shot was just wide.

The Brazilian didn't feature a single minute in the Spanish Super Cup games. Xavi Hernandez said the Brazilian felt slightly hurt during training and didn't want to risk the player. Roque played 8 minutes in the Copa del Rey 3-1 win against Unionistas de Salamanca.

Roque featured 27 minutes in the 4-2 win against Real Betis and got a yellow card for a late challenge. He is gaining more minutes after the slight knock he had last week. Roque is expected to play more often and will hope to grab a debut goal with Barcelona.

Endrick is still 17 years old and has yet to debut for Real Madrid. The Brazilian will join next season when he is 18, and he will look to improve these next few months after winning the Brasileiro Serie A with Palmeiras, which won their 12th title in the club’s history. Endrick scored 11 goals in 31 games, but he started in 18. Endrick’s move to Real Madrid was official in 2022, and the transfer was around $64 million with add-ons.

Endrick scored on his Brazil Pre-Olympic team debut and was the game-winning goal. The goal Endrick scored was in the 4th minute of the game after receiving the ball from a John Kennedy's header. Endrick was too strong and fast for the two defenders around him and took a composed shot past the Bolivian keeper with his left foot.
