The origins of MiM Hotels trace back to 2017 when Messi acquired his first property in Sitges, a coastal town near Barcelona. This initial venture, known as MiM Sitges, is a four-star superior hotel located just a short walk from the beach. It features 77 rooms and suites, a spa, and a rooftop terrace with panoramic views, setting the standard for subsequent acquisitions.

Following the success of his first hotel, Messi expanded his hospitality footprint into the Balearic Islands. In 2018, he acquired MiM Ibiza Es Vivé, an adults-only hotel located near Figueretas beach. This Art Deco-inspired establishment is known for its vibrant atmosphere and design. The expansion continued with MiM Mallorca (formerly Fona Major) in 2020, situated in S'Illot, on the east coast of Mallorca.
