Waste of money, Ryan Giggs has harsh words for this Manchester United player

United legend Ryan Giggs doesn't hold back on his feelings for this Utd forward while praising a youngster in the meantime

Not the nicest of words from Giggs on this United player

Carrington. That’s the home where Manchester United trains currently, but when you say Carrington, it is also a reference to Manchester United’s academy. An academy that holds a lot of meaning to the club and its fans, an academy that creates a bridge for the club to connect with its fans. There’s no better feeling for a United fan than seeing an academy kid prosper. This season, we’ve witnessed the rise of Kobbie Mainoo within the club and how he has already made himself a starter within the team. The youngster already looks mature beyond his years when in the team.

Mainoo is not the only Carrington representative within the team, as the club’s talisman in Marcus Rashford is an academy graduate and his story and rise within the club is a beautiful story to hear. Marcus Rashford represents what the club is all about. Last season we witnessed the rise of another Carrington star in Alejandro Garnacho with the young Argentinian breaking through to the first team and providing United with exhilarating moments. The winner against Fulham right before the World Cup break, or the assist for Rashford in the Manchester Derby. He even showed his ferociousness against Barcelona in the Europa League.

This year, Garnacho has taken his game to another level and has shown improvement in his game. The ball striking looks better and no better example than the bicycle kick against Everton. Garnacho has also shown more variety and versatility as Ten Hag has used him on the right wing recently. The player has taken the position change in stride and that means bad news for one of Ten Hag’s premier signings in Antony.

The Brazilian winger has struggled since he moved to United and has put up a total of zero goals and assists this season. With Garnacho showing he can play right wing; it spells bad news for Antony.

Giggs had heavy praise for Garnacho but took a shot at Antony in the meantime. Giggs said “He (Garnacho) gets you out of your seat. He’s giving you 10 times more than the other guy that cost much more money.”
