With 101 goals for Real Madrid, Vinícius Jr. has firmly etched his name in the club’s history, alongside idols like Ronaldo Nazário and Cristiano Ronaldo. The Brazilian forward expressed his pride in achieving this milestone, emphasizing its significance for his career and his family.

"It’s an important number. Reaching 100 goals and becoming part of the club’s history at 24 years old, after seven seasons, is very meaningful. Hopefully, I can continue for many more years," Vinícius said in an interview with Real Madrid TV this Friday.

Commitment to Madrid Amid Saudi Rumors

During the interview, Vinícius dismissed speculation about a potential move to Saudi Arabia, making it clear that his ambition is to remain at Real Madrid for the long haul. He reflected on his journey, arriving as a teenager with big dreams, and now being recognized among the world’s best players.

"I never imagined scoring so many goals in such a short time. Entering the club’s history is very difficult because of the legends who have come before me, scoring so many goals and winning so much. Being alongside them is a dream," he admitted.

Vinícius also highlighted the mentorship he received from Ronaldo Nazário and the inspiration drawn from Cristiano Ronaldo:

  • "Ronaldo has always given me great advice on finishing and improving my shots."
  • "Cristiano scored 451 goals. That’s more goals than games played! I watched almost all of them growing up. He’s an idol for me. That record is far away, but I hope to score many more to get closer."

His Most Memorable Goal and Champions League Dreams

Among his 101 goals, one stands out the most: a stunning long-range strike against Girona.

"It’s the most impressive goal I’ve scored. I don’t usually shoot from that far, and this one was from a great distance. That’s the one I’d choose," he said.

However, his Champions League final goals remain unforgettable:

"It’s something incredible. I can’t even imagine it sometimes. My job is to score goals and keep building the club’s history. Hopefully, I can score in more finals—especially in the Champions League, because at Real Madrid, we always have to win it."

Tribute to Club Legends and Florentino Pérez’s Support

Vinícius also acknowledged Real Madrid’s greats, mentioning Raúl González and Alfredo Di Stéfano, but reserved special gratitude for club president Florentino Pérez.

"He always believed in me, even when I was a kid and no one knew me. I have immense respect and affection for him. He always says, ‘Vini will play for Madrid forever.’ That’s unbelievable because when you’re far away, you never think you’ll reach the biggest club in the world."
